MBA Overview
The Mid-America Christian University Master of Business Administration (MBA) program provides students the opportunity to study at a level of complexity and specialization that extends the knowledge and intellectual maturity of students who have gained an undergraduate degree, while requiring them to analyze, explore, question, reconsider, and synthesize old and new knowledge and skills. Upon completion of the program, students should have gained sufficient depth of education, specialized skills, and a sense of creative independence that will allow them to practice in and contribute to the business profession. The MBA program provides quality business instruction from a Christian perspective.
The program is designed to provide the opportunity for qualified students to complete the requirements for the degree in approximately 22 months, while maintaining full-time employment. Classes are scheduled one night per week and are sequenced where students take only one class at a time. Students will attend small classes, benefit from the varied experiences and ideas of classmates and gain satisfaction from fulfilling an educational goal.

In addition to the 36-hour MBA program, an additional 12 hours of courses are available for those students seeking a concentration in their MBA program. MBA concentrations currently available include Health Care Administration, International Business, and Accounting. The courses required to complete a concentration will be available to those student who have successfully completed all the requirements for the 36-hour MBA program and at the end of the third semester of the MBA program have selected to pursue a concentration.

The Health Care Administration concentration focuses on examining the field's unique methods of conducting business in crucial operational areas. Students will participate in courses in Health Care Management, Health Care Legal Environment, Health Care Finance, and Health Care Information Systems. Upon completion of this concentration student will have an expanded understanding of health care management techniques and an ability to contribute to the administration of health care organizations.

The concentration in International Business supplies students with a capability to develop an enhanced understanding of the today's global business environment. Through courses in Global Marketing and Multi-Cultural Communications, International Business Law, International Economics, and Strategic Global Strategy student develop a capability to manage business organizations in the worldwide marketplace.
